Shelby County Community Corrections is offering a Juvenile Grant Scholarship Opportunity (for children 17 years of age or younger). This could be funding educational needs, extracurricular activities, and/or transportation needs. If you come across a juvenile in need of assistance (ex: paying registration fees for a sports program, summer school or educational fees, drivers education fees, transportation needs, etc.) please fill out this application and scholarship essay and return them to Taylor Short (317-421-8137).
The essay is a very short (200-500 word count) that would include the purpose of the scholarship, any barriers the family is facing, what steps the family has taken, and how the scholarship and opportunity to participate in the event would benefit the child.
